Chief (Dr.) Ephraim Fagha Faloughi (OON) (Thomas Ebiegberi Spiff II) - Chairman

Chief (Dr.) Ephraim Faloughi pulled himself from the bootstraps up the corporate ladder. He started work as a sales Executive with the then NIDOGAS and then the West African Thread Company Limited in Apapa, Lagos. The innate drive to excel and contribute to society spurred him into setting up NOVESCO Trading Company (NTCN) in 1973 (a company specialized in the production of high quality carpets). This trail blazing pioneering effort in the early days of Total Quality Management earned the company, global recognition and an award "Award of Quality" from the standard Organization of Nigeria". His unflagging optimism, untiring energy and passion for hard work guaranteed the success of this enterprise which has grown into one of the premier indigenous concerns still flourishing today.

A man of inexhaustible drive, Chief (Dr.) Ephraim Faloughi has also ventured into the Insurance, Information Technology; Food Industry and Construction fields of the economy. Chief Faloughi Ephraim is Chairman of the board of several reputable institutions, some of which include, Digital Technology Services Limited, Sovereign Trust Insurance Company Limited, Telecommunications World Services and TEEOF Holding Limited, an estate development and marine service providers.

A man with a "can do spiri", Chief Ephraim Faloughi is a Paul Harris fellow of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. A recipient of numerous Industry and International awards notable of which are "Great Africa Merit Award", 2003, in which he was nominated alongside Dr. Nelson Mandela, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, Dr. Dora Akunyili among others as recipient of the award. Others include, "The prime International Achievers Gold Award", 2003, ECOWAS international Gold Award, 1998 and the Paul Harris Fellow Award, Officers of the Order of the Niger (OON), 2004 among others.

Emmanuel Osa Agwoje, B.Sc, M.Sc [Econs] - Director

An outstanding scholar who won various awards in his school days, he was placed third in a National Essay Competition and was, for three years, while at the University of Port Harcourt, in the Dean List for outstanding performance. At the University of Benin, he was the best graduating student in the M.Sc Economics class of 1986. A seasoned banker, his career which spanned over a period of 16 years at Allstates Trust Bank Plc, took him through all facets of banking including branch management, credit and marketing, foreign operations, investment banking, private banking and corporate finance; culminating to his being appointed Executive Director overseeing investment banking activities of the bank. He was Team Leader for Prudent Bank Plc restructuring programme that presented to UAC Plc, the majority shareholder of the bank then, the blue print that formed the basis for restructuring the bank. He has attended various banking courses at home and abroad.

As a banker, he was saddled with sensitive responsibilities of managing his bank's liquidity, asset and liabilities as well as funds management. At various occasions, he was mandated to manage branches where he excelled. He also championed the course of shaping the bank's strategic direction in terms of human capital development. His intelligence, diligence and integrity saw him sitting on and chairing different policy making committees notable among them being the Bank's Asset and Liabilities Committee [ALCO]. He was instrumental in fashioning some key policies that were in use in the Bank.

A one time Trustee of Money Market Association of Nigeria, Mr. Agwoje served as a major resource person in the articulation of Programmes for the association and played key role in the development and implementation of Treasury Dealership Certificate of Money Mart. Aside serving as member of Rivers State and Bayelsa State Privatisation Committee that advised the Governments of these states on the privatization programme; Emmanuel Agwoje, in 1999 worked with the Minister of Science and Technology in the development of the blue print for the Nigerian Satellite Project.

Hon. Preye Ogriki, B.Sc, F.C.A - Director

Hon. Preye Ogriki is an astute banker with over 23 years professional experience spanning the banking, mortgage and public sectors. With most of his career life in All States Trust Bank Plc, he held several challenging and sensitive positions in the Financial Control, Operations and Information Technology departments. His passion for hardwork saw him rise to the position of Executive Director, Corporate & Investment Banking where he was saddled with the supervision of Treasury and Financial services, Domestic Treasury, Public sector banking, Energy/Gas, Corporate Finance and Investment among others. Honourable Preye Ogriki was educated at the University of Calabar where he obtained a B.Sc in Economics (Upper Credit). A member of many recognized professional bodies, he has attained the status of the Honourary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Chartered institute of Taxation of Nigeria and also the Institute of Directors of Nigeria among others.

Honorable Preye was once the Commissioner of Finance and Economic Planning, Bayelsa State. He was formerly the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Resort Securities & Trust Limited and currently is the MD/CEO of Trans Atlantic Mortgages Limited. Honorable Preye Ogriki has attended several courses, some of which include "National Seminar on Economic Crime: A growing Threat to the Sector Development","Effective Governance under a Democratic Government", "Taxation: the New dispensation in emerging Nigeria" and several other courses on Taxation among others.

Anthony Enahoro Edenih, B.Sc, MBA - Director

Anthony Edenih was educated at the University of Port Harcourt where he obtained the degree of Bachelor of Science in Banking & Finance. He also holds an MBA Finance from the University of Calabar and has 17 years professional experience in the financial services industry, 4 in insurance as Investment Officer at Crusader Insurance Nigeria Plc with responsibility for product costing, portfolio performance and analysis as well as Deals Monitoring and Management. 9 years in banking where he held several challenging positions and the remaining 4 years in investment banking and Asset management. His key competencies are in the areas of treasury management, money market operations, asset and liability management including investment banking.

Once at Allstates Trust Bank Plc, he was a manger and Head of Domestic Treasury with responsibility for liquidity management, building and sustaining relationship with financial institutions, fund management, inter-bank trading, investment appraisal and portfolio management. His brilliance and professional outlook were so glaring that he was appointed to serve on the Assets and Liability Committee [ALCO] of the bank as secretary - an appointment he held until leaving Allstates. Currently, Mr. Edenih is the General Manager, Business Development of Equator Capital Limited where he is saddled with the responsibilities of driving and coordinating business of all the branches and business units.

John Daria, HND, MCIB- Managing Director/CEO

John Daria is an experienced investment manager and business analyst with a deep understanding of sales and marketing. Before joining Equator Microfinance Bank, Mr. Daria worked with several investment and finance institutions where his sense of duty, responsibility, hard work and integrity distinguished and earned him several commendations. At City Code Trust & Investment Company Lagos, he was appointed branch manager at the early stage of his career as a result of the outstanding manner he handled assignments as a young officer. He later joined Equator Capital Limited, an investment and asset management group, as a relationship officer and was again elevated to the position of Yenagoa Business office manager within a very short period of time. His outstanding performance as business manager motivated the Board to second him to Equator Micro Finance Bank as Managing Director.

A certified microfinance banker, he holds an HND in Business Administration from the Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo in Lagos State. He has attended several trainings locally and overseas in the areas of Investment analysis, stock broking, management and micro finance banking. Other qualifications to his credit include: Certified Stock Market Agent from The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Certified Investment Analyst from the West African Capital Market School, Lagos; Associate member of the Institute of Cost Management, Nigeria and a Certified Microfinance Bank Practitioner having passed the Central Bank of Nigeria/Chartered Institute of Bankers qualifying examination. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Nigeria, as well as the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
